Safer Space Principles at the Helsinki University Library
The University of Helsinki is committed to promoting equality and preventing discrimination. The Helsinki University Library wants to create safer space principles together with our students and other customers. In safer spaces we commit to practices that increase both physical and psychological safety. In September the Helsinki University Library will organize pop-up workshops, where our students will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on how to create safer environments in library facilities and online spaces. Warmly welcome to the workshops!
Who is your event aimed at? Why is the event good for them?
For the students and other Helsinki University Library customers. Creating a safer space requires dialogue and a mutual understanding on how to treat others with respect. Safer space is something that we create together.
