Terkko Health Hub and Helsinki Think Company have come together to co-organize Terkko Health X – an ambitious pre-accelerator for health tech and life science teams with the aim to support Finland-based entrepreneurship.
The program is aimed towards early-stage teams with ambition to create impactful solutions that solve real problems. Terkko Health X invites entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and basic degree students to take their concepts into the market. The 6-week program will provide the chosen teams with the fundamentals of entrepreneurship from business development, funding, marketing and beyond with the twist of the health niche. The program consists of 13 workshops that will help the teams show a clear proof of concept and the path to profitability, develop a clinical validation plan, and start rolling it out while actively engaging with corporate partners.
This year Terkko Health X is organized for the third time. We are proud to present the masterminds aka workshop mentors who will help the teams push their thinking forward during the program. Let’s find out who they are and what our teams will learn from them!
Arne Schlenzka, CEO of Osgenic
Arne Schlenzka is a doctor and former surgeon-in-training. As a founder and CEO of Osgenic, Arne works with virtual reality and online learning and is happy to discuss these in the Terkko Health X program.
He also has insight into medical doctors’ daily routines and can evaluate how solutions fit int o those routines. In addition, he is able to connect people with relevant medical doctors from different subspecialties.
The chosen teams will meet Arne in the program’s Business Stories and Backasting workshop.
Alex Felman, Executive Officer at Startup 42 Media
Startup 42 Media offers companies the ability to create podcasts as a service in a quicker, more convenient way.
Alex uses his expertise in molecular toxicology and bio-entrepreneurship
(B.A from University of California -Berkeley, MBA from Copenhagen Business School) to advise the teams in biotechnology, healthcare, and other futuristic tech industries with the goal of maintaining long-term wealth through innovation.
He is personally involved with a number of early-stage companies having previously worked as a general partner of Venture Labs, an early-stage venture capital/incubator fund as well as a mentor, advisor, serial entrepreneur, and director of numerous startups. Alex is an expert in helping companies with business plan creation, product development, operations, successful market launches, and fundraising. Our teams will get to know Alex in the Business Development workshop.
Christian Lardot, Senior Business Advisor at NewCo Helsinki
Christian is a Senior Business Advisor at NewCo and the Lead of Health Incubator Helsinki.

He is specialized in the health, wellbeing, life sciences and functional food sectors. Prior to his current position he has worked in various manager positions in the life science and MedTech sector in Finland and USA. He has also worked in MedTech and consumer products startups.
He will bring value to the teams in evaluating their ideas, going through the challenges they will face in the marketplace and advising on the go-to-market strategy and positioning of their product or services. He is looking forward to advising the teams and being one of the mentors in the Terkko Health X program.
Yina Ye, Startup Ecosystem Development Manager, Amazon Web Services
As a Startup Ecosystem Development Manager for AWS Yina helps early-stage startups in Finland and Baltics build more scalable businesses. Whether they have challenges in technology, hiring, or fundraising, Yina is focused on providing all the resources a startup needs to get started and scale up.
She has previous experience from investment analysis, startup growth management, founding and running a startup to improve the engagement of rehabilitation training using virtual reality technology. Yina’s background is in computer science and electronic information engineering. Yina will be a part of the program’s Expert Sparring Night.
Harriet Gullstén, Senior Advisor, MSc, PhD, Head of Market Access Programs (MAP) to Asia, Business Finland
Harriet Gullstén has been a senior advisor at Business Finland since 2016 in the health and wellbeing industry.
Harriet has a deep knowhow related to med-, bio- and health tech and drug development. For the last over three years, she has been working with startups and specialized in fast growth.
She is enthusiastic about coaching innovations and companies, evaluating funding applications, monitoring projects and companies’ progress. Harriet has been the Head of Market Access Programs (MAP) to Asia, which aim to support internationalization of Finnish companies. Harriet also finds diversity important and she’s a representative at the Nordic Task Force for Diversity forum. Harriett will teach the teams all about funding.
Mika Teikari, Managing Director at Success Clinic
Mika has 15 years’ experience in pharmaceutical market research and register analysis at the Nordic level.

Mika is the founder of Success Clinic Holding which owns several research, health care, and wellbeing related companies.
Success Clinic works closely with all the key big pharma companies and several universities in the Nordics. Mika can help the teams with health care marketing, business models and strategies. His specialty is creating business models for health data. Mika can also share the teams a data bank of over a decade of results on pharma and device marketing in health care. Mika will support the teams in the communications and marketing workshop.
Philippe Arnez, Chief Business Officer LS CancerDiag
Philippe joined LS CancerDiag after spending several years in corporate roles across various functions and geographies.
He is glad to share the recent experiences and learnings that
he has gathered in the medical device industry, in particular related to in vitro diagnostics.
Being more of a generalist, rather than deep expertise in a specific field, Philippe can offer his help and provide input spanning a breadth of subject areas, including supply chain, distribution, logistics, procurement, regulatory affairs, QA/QC, business development, strategy, public and private funding. Philippe will share his insight with the teams in the Expert Sparring Night.
Taina Tervonen, Head of Marketing and Sales, Attorneys-at-law Magnusson Ltd
Taina has over 15 years of practical experience in brand management, PR, business development, marketing, and sales in an international environment.
She has worked at e.g., Nokia, various digital marketing agencies and in an international business law firm. In addition to her daily work, Taina is also studying Circular Economy in LUT University.
With her proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, Taina will share her expertise, skills, and knowledge with the Terkko Health X teams in the Expert Sparring Night.
Anna-Maria Henell, Ceo and Co-founder of Disior
Anna-Maria Henell is the CEO and Co-Founder of Disior, where she drives innovation and co-creation with Clinicians and Medical Researchers. Founded in 2016, Disior develops a novel way to analyze and model bone fractures and soft tissue for diagnostics, pre-operative planning and treatment optimization.
The company brings together clinical needs and product development experience from orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery and latest modelling technology.
Anna-Maria will share her insight on company creation, fundraising, hospital co-operation and industrial partnering. Anna-Maria will be mentoring the teams in the Business Stories and Backcasting workshop.
