Terkko Health Hub and Helsinki Think Company are co-organizing Terkko Health X – an ambitious pre-accelerator for health tech and life science teams with the aim to support Finland-based entrepreneurship. The third round of the program is going to be at least as exciting as the previous ones. Kari Sinivuori, Chief Executive Officer at Uute Scientific Oy

Kari is the Co-founder and managing partner of Uute Scientific Oy.
He is an experienced business developer with the capability to formulate strategies for implementation.
Kari is experienced in raising capital, working with large companies and co-operating with regulators.
Uute Scientific was the winner of Terkko Health X 2019.
Kari will share his knowledge with our teams in the Expert Sparring Night.
Jani Tirronen, CEO and co-founder of Maculaser
Jani is an experienced technology entrepreneur and startup CEO.

Prior to his current role as CEO of Maculaser, he was
responsible for the commercialization of a university project that transformed a scientific discovery into a real-life medical technology application.
Jani has insight into defining a potential commercial product, productization, global industry partnerships, business and financial modelling, market research, product-market-fit, IPR strategy and fundraising.
Jani will share his expertise in the Business Stories and Backcasting workshop.
Sebastian Soidinsalo, Entrepreneur in Residence at Åbo Akademi
Sebastian can glue together the markets and the science.

He has deliberately trained himself for a career in life science entrepreneurship by working with new business ideas and inventions, start-ups, and scaling life science companies for nearly a decade.
Having formal degrees and experience in both business and drug development, Sebastian can spend his day facilitating R&D and product development or forging strategic alliances and leading sales meetings. He has diverse experience in life science, IPR and innovation, new business development, entrepreneurial finance, and communicating science-based business ideas to diverse audiences.
Sebastian will mentor the teams in the Business Development workshop.
Kati Kaijasilta, Business Development Director, Orion Pharma
Kati works as a Business Development Director at Orion Pharma seeking for international development and commercialization partnerships, focusing on neurology and rare diseases.

In addition to traditional drug collaboration opportunities she is responsible for digital health partnering and internal venturing across different therapy areas.
Kati has also gained expertise in R&D, particularly in clinical drug development.
Her passion is to search for new ways of combining medicine and technology to identify new business models and opportunities in the changing healthcare landscape.
Kati will guide the teams in the Expert Sparring Night.
Petri Parvinen, Professor at the University of Helsinki

Petri describes himself as “an energetic, analytical, somewhat amusing and sometimes ruthless growth expert”.
His research deals with the commercialization of scientific and technological innovations and accelerating growth.
An investor and entrepreneur himself, Petri aims to help Terkko Health X’s teams in practical sales and marketing issues.
Petri will be stealing the show in the Sales workshop.
Peter Hänninen, General Counsel at Nanoform
Peter is a lawyer working in the cross-section of technology and law, with extensive experience in digital solutions, data driven business models, and the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Peter is a general counsel at Nanoform Finland, a publicly listed nanomedicines company, where he works with matters related to commercial contracts, IP and corporate law related questions.
In the past Peter has represented both founders and investors in technology driven transactions and investments. He has been part of founding and serving on the board of directors of several growth companies.
Peter will be answering our teams’ questions in the IPR & SHA workshop.
Kieron O’Connell, Senior Associate at Potter Clarkson
Kieron is a European and UK patent attorney specialising in chemistry and pharmaceuticals, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical sector.

Prior to joining Potter Clarkson, Kieron obtained a PhD
in organic chemistry and worked as a medicinal chemist for a large pharmaceutical company.
Kieron works with a range of clients from universities and startups to big pharma. He has broad experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a range of subject matter.
Kieron has expertise on spanning the different stages of the pharmaceutical development process, including new drug substances, new solid forms, drug combinations, formulations, further medical uses and process chemistry.
Kieron will mentor our teams in the IPR & SHA workshop.
Charlotta Weber, UK and European Patent Attorney Trainee at Potter Clarkson
Charlotta joined Potter Clarkson in 2019 as a Patent Attorney Trainee in the Chemistry Team.

Since then, she has worked with intellectual property matters in the field pharmaceuticals, medical devices, bulk chemicals and materials.
Charlotta specializes in patent drafting and prosecution, oppositions, freedom-to-operate analyses and due diligence related tasks.
Charlotta will share her insight in the IPR & SHA workshop.
Heikki Pitkänen Senior Expert, Regulations & Quality CEO of Lean Entries
Heikki has more than 20 years of experience from the health tech field including responsibilities in product development, regulatory and quality related positions.
Heikki is the CEO and founder of Lean Entries, which is a part of the Labquality family of companies within Cor Group.
Lean Entries provides Entries, the Digital Regulatory Runway services, and training on the regulatory essentials to organisations from health tech startups and universities to multinational manufacturers.
Heikki will teach our teams all about regulations.
